What OS are you using? I did see a similar report using Win 11, downloaded 64-bit version. I have not had that issue. I’m on Windows 11 but downloaded the 32-bit version.
Windows 11 with 64 bit RM gives me continuous access violations. Restarting does not fix it, nor did reinstalling the program. Initially I thought reinstalling was working, but it isn’t. I’m going to try the 32 bit version.
Ok, I installed the 32 bit version of RM11 and so far I have not received any access violations. It looks like the way to fix them if you have the 64 bit version. Only time will tell.
I don’t think anyone is suggesting this as a permanent fix, rather it’s an option that you could take advantage of while the developers work to resolve the issue.
The 32-bit version exists to support a feature that depends on a third-party module that is unavailable for a 64-bit version. It is the direct import of Legacy Family Tree software database files.
You aren’t downgrading your computer, you are choosing a different variation of a program. The 32 bit version runs just fine on a 64 bit computer. There is very little in RM that is going to benefit from 64 bit hardware. RM is simply not that heavyweight of a program. In fact using the 64-bit version of RM is going to cause you some loss in functionality (most people don’t need this functionality anymore). If it is needed they would need to install the 32 bit release anyway.

What functionality don’t I need ? Why bother with a 64-bit version at all?
When you have a 64-bit computer you expect developed software to run ok on it.
I said that most people don’t need it. This would be the ability to import from TMG and Legacy, and possibly PAF. Several programs that require 32-bit tools to import, tools which are not written for 64 bit.
Your assertion about needing to downgrade your computer is what I pointed out as incorrect. You don’t need to do anything to your computer. You might want to note that when you try to download RM, it defaults to the 32-bit version and even if you go to other downloads, the 32-bit version is flagged as recommended.
So until they iron out the bugs in the 64-bit version, you can and should be using the 32-bit. At this point, I consider the 64-bit version as being in community beta testing.
I use RM 11 for the ability to use FamilySearch matches. I do a lot of editing on both RM7 database and the RM11 one with the automatic merges. I do get access violation messages on 32 bit. I just close down the program and restart and go on my way.
