After performing a People Automerge (People/Tools/Merge/Automerge), there is no listing of the newly merged People.
Similarly, after performing AutoMatch (Publish/FamilySearch Central/Automatch), I am given the number of new matches, but there no list of who was matched.
Assuming these lists are not simply hiding somewhere, could enhancements be added so that the outcome of these auto processes is presented?
I would never use auto merge but agree it would be nice to know what it did via summary log of some sort
Neither tool makes a list. So there is no list in hiding that simply needs to be displayed.
I personally never use either tool. I always merge manually and match manually,
I would not trust any program to make those decisions (same as you) – a summary log would be nice RM ID 1012 merged with RM 2051 for each change but I doubt such a change log would be considered by the developers (at least over so many other things).
On FamilySearch Central after AutoMatching the “What’s New” numbers will update. If you click on View you can see the list. Once the person has been viewed they will no longer appear on the list.
