I am having a problem getting RM2Go to work on Windows 11. The main pc is W11 as is the new HP laptop. When I tried to use RM2Go on a memory stick with the HP laptop it seemed to install RM11 and not just read the USB.
Any clues on what I may have done please, or should I just export the existing tree ont the new laptop and endeavour to keep both up to date?
I did manage eventually to get a Read-only version of the tree but it’s really an updateable one that I want.
I also get messages saying I should go to the app store for a microsoft verified app - is that something I should do too please.
Thanks - it would not recognise the file name under which the tree is stored on the main pc for whatever reason. Since putting the original post I am beginning to wonder if the new laptop is not behaving as I expected as I have add issues adding an epson printer’s scan function…
Yes but it said the name was not valid - I am in the UK so will try again in the morning and see if I can copy what the file name is on the actual RM11. I have a suspicion that the file name may be the issue as it is “The Retirement File” with no underscores linking those three words. Is there an easy way to add those to the name please.
If you are trying to open RM To-Go by clicking on the database file it won’t work. You need to open RM To-Go and then open the file. That’s why I’m asking what are you clicking on to open RM To-Go.
Changing the name of the file seemed to take me on step on but when I clicked on the USB for Launch RM - it asked me to choose from Essentials/Purchase RM/Register RM but no sign of RM2G. When I try to opy the data file for the tree it asks me to select an app?
Not sure what is happening
UPDATE
I then went back into the USB and this time it seemed to work, perhaps I was working too quickly. Anyway I shall try again later in the day as I have to go out now.
