Rootsmagic ios app

RM8 wiki has clear instructions to get your database to the iPad app. RM8 File Export to Dropbox worked great and did not require Dropbox to be installed on my mac. The app displays nicely except for media and is read only.

The rather old iOS app has 2 issues that limit it compared to using the ancestry app. It is very tricky to swipe up and close the app which does not respond normally. Also, media are there but you cannot expand the thumbnail to see the content. Ancestry does this nicely letting you read the document, transcript and sources saved as one media item.

I have been using the App Switcher alot with the new iOS to close the apps. Maybe that’s an option. It uses the swipe up, but each app is in a smaller window.
