When printing the Marriage list, you can select whether to print the Marr RIN (Print marriage rec#) is there any way of getting this number to show up on the screen when a marriage is created, along with the individual RIN numbers?
Thanks Diane

Not within RM to the best of my knowledge. I think it is included unchanged in the GEDCOM export. If you could find another software that preserves it on import and does include it in more outputs, that might be helpful. Otherwise, you would need an outboard utility that could read the RM database and produce a report that suits your purpose or adds a fact to each party of a couple containing the MRIN.
several of the Marriage lists /reports could use several enhancements. You can post them here as discussions can sometimes fine-tune enhancement request. As TomH mentioned – there are options outside of RM UI Program. (Sqlite for example to query the info directly and design a report or view to your needs). Another option would be to update note etc (likely thru sqlite query) with this info so it available within program
The best I can remember, there was a version of RM in the distant past where there was one obscure place in the user interface where you could see the MRIN without running a report. But I be misremembering. And in any case, I agree that I don’t think there is any place in the current versions of RM where this information is available in the RM user interface.
However, I think that RM users are better off thinking of the MRIN as being internal RM data that has no meaning or utility outside of RM. And for that matter, I think that RM users are better off thinking of the RIN numbers for each person as being internal RM data that has no meaning or utility outside of RM. I will grant that the RIN numbers do need to be available through the RM user interface in order to be able to verify if individuals with the same name are two different views of the same individual or if they are two different individuals who may possibly have been duplicated. But that doesn’t change my perspective that the RIN numbers are better off if thought of as internal RM numbers which have no meaning or utility outside of RM.
