I have a large Ancestry tree with a lot of media items. When I try to do an initial download to RM, I get through the tree sync, but then it consistently stalls (and locks up) about 20% of the way through the media item downloads. Any thoughts on how to fix this or work around it? Thank you.
Make sure you have update 8.2.7.0 installed. Otherwise, open a support ticket. We will need you to share the Ancestry Tree with a support agent to test the download.
I have found no matter which browser I use, before I connect to Ancestry, I clear all of the history, cookies, etc and then download my tree from Ancestry. Works every time and downloads without a hitch.
