I have been building my Family History since the early 80s beginning with the basic family history and very soon became addicted to the subject.
I eagerly took my DNA and hit a brick-wall, then used a few other programs and progressed slowly until I was lucky enough to take an early retirement.
Now my days are spent casting a wider net and helping others with “brick walls” but also encouraging others to dabble and take the leap in to the curious pond of history.
I have never regretted the moment I asked my Mother “where did I come from”. She told me to ask my Father, who in turn told me to “read a book” and all these years later, I am still curious.
Genealogy is for everyone and I am so very glad that I read that book, went back and asked my Father again, who in turn told me to go ask my Mother.
Family History is my passion and I hope I will make it a lot clearer for future generations.
I am a firm believer that you have difficulty knowing where you are going unless you have a little information about where you came from.
I very much look forward to taking part in meaningful discussions in this forum and contributing to what the future holds for genealogy in general.
