Why do some, but not all, of the Add Spouse slots in the Family view display a grey unknown-gender head profile? Every one of the five children on the left has their gender correctly assigned, so I don’t see a pattern based on that. Not a problem, but I’m mystified.

This issue has been reported. It was something along the lines, if the Family last viewed had a child’s spouse with a thumbnail, then the gray avatar will show up in that same position on the next family displayed, if that child doesn’t have a spouse.
What about same sex marriage? You wouldn’t know the sex until it was entered.
The unknown sex is gray in the shape of a man. Otherwise a male would be blue with a male shape. Female is pink with a girl shape.
Can NOT say why BUT you can go under SETTINGS to the MONITOR and turn off show avatars on ped/family view and turn on show pics on ped/ family view…
