Doing some tidying of the database and finding quite a few person notes I need to edit. Is it possible to create a ilst of all the people in the database who have person or fact notes so that I can systematically go through them to edit where necessary?
I realise that before passing the database on to the next generation I need to tidy up my notes which were sometimes typed badly in haste!
You can find people with notes by running an Advanced Search or make a group using the same criteria as for the Advanced Search. I usually find that to be sufficient for these kinds of queries without actually “making a report”. But if I want to make a report, and I can use the same criteria or group to filter a report. For example, the Individual List report is very useful for this purpose, especially if you turn off all the possible details in the report and just get a list of names.
As far as the criteria, it’s going to be something like the following: Any Fact > Note > Is Not Blank. You can combine that with Individual Note > Is Not Blank.
