Access Violation Errors in RM11 When Deleting Lots of People

I didn’t set out to test RM11 to see if Access Violation Errors still occurred after deleting a lot of people in the same session of using RM. It’s just that deleting lots of people from my RM database was the task of the day immediately after I installed RM11. It would have been the task of the day if I were still using RM10.

The errors are still there, and I wasn’t expecting them to be fixed yet. The errors are quasi-repeatable, but they are not repeatable enough for the cause to be chased down very easily. I did notice that occasionally it would take something like 10 or 15 seconds for a delete to finish instead of finishing instantaneously. The errors usually happen two or three people after the long pause.

I’m using the 32-bit version of RM11 on Windows. This is deleting a lot of people, one person at a time, and sometimes a family at a time. I work back and forth between Family View and Descendant View, deleting from the bottom up - deleting children before parents. The process needs to be manual. There is no way to identify the people by creating a group and then by deleting everybody in the group.

As always, there is no apparent corruption to my RM database. I just shutdown RM and restart it.
