RM8 will not open - screen is white

I was using RM8 earlier today. After closing it and later restarting it, all I see is a white screen with RootsMagic 8 and my database path in the top header.

I am able to X out to close it.
Task Manager shows .0 to .1% CPU and 108.2 MB memory.

Edit: CTRL + SHIFT + U does nothing

Latest RM8 version, Windows 10

Since RM7 was giving access violation errors, I decided to restart my computer.

RM8 now works, and RM7 does not give errors.

When I worked for major companies “Turn it off and turn it on again” was always the first piece of advice given by IT Helpdesks.
(Apart from RTFM but we won’t go there!)
