Question on how to restoring

Ok I have a perplexing question. My hardrive on my laptop crashed so I reloaded RM onto my spare laptop and was continuing to do my research. Well, a friend of mine was able to do a restore on my old laptop to an older date, but when i went to open RM back up on my old laptop, it was not up to date. How do I get it to open to the changes that I had made. Not sure if I am clear on this.

Restore on old laptop was back to 11/24/2025, yet I was working and have backup on spare laptop to yesterday. Want to go back to old laptop but not sure how to get it to yesterdays settings??

I may have misunderstood, but suggest you back up the most recent version of your database on your spare computer to a flash drive. Then go to the first laptop and restore from that flash drive. It should then have the changes you made while the first computer was not working.

Thank you. I think I was able to do it. At least it shows the recent changes I did

Make your backups to the cloud so you can Restore from there.

You can “copy” your actual database there too but not recommended to run from could.
