On the left side of any database, you have shortcut Icons for Places, Sources ETC-- it would be nice to have a shortcut Icon for both Health and DNA Matches like this on the left also-- right now you have to remember who you have entered under DNA to access the info…
You can run a Health Conditions Report and see everyone with a specific or all health conditions which does help you keep track of what you have or have NOT enter BUT not so for DNA…
Maybe most would not need this but for those of us who manage several DIFFERENT DNA test or have helped several friends figure out their DNA test rsults–it would be helpful–just a suggestion…
I don’t know if Health and DNA are important issues to the majority of users but for some of us these are not critical issues, they are optional matters of choice, a bit like the longstanding features tailored for members of the LDS Church.
I fully respect those users who want to add this additional focus to their family history research, but I think it would be a step in the wrong direction for such specialist features to be added to the standard RM interface when others, such as LDS, are not.
I would much prefer to see Health and DNA treated as preferences which you can switch on or off from within Settings - just like the existing Latter-Day Saints Settings. That way, if they’re not important to you then you don’t need to see them.
Can I please put this forward as a tweak to nkess’s feature request?
