Need 64bit version

Hello everyone. I have been using rootsmagic since version 3. I just got a new PC and using the key from the old PC version of rootsmagic I downloaded the software and activated it. I now see that I have the 32bit version. I want to get the 64bit version. Can I just download a 64bit version and use the same key or do I have to buy a new 64bit version?

No additional purchase is required to install 64-bit RM, instead of 32-bit version. The RootsMagic 11 Registration Key, provided to You, works on either bit-version.

Thanks so very much.

On the download page click on “Show other downloads” to find the 64-bit version. You can keep both the 32 and 64-bit versions on the same computer. Only run one at a time.

Yes, and I have both now but will most likely remove the 32 bit. I have another question-----In my media I have a ton of photos but all of them have a red x by them. How can I remove the X and still use the photos?
Thanks so much.
Phil

The red x means the link to the media is broken. This will happen if the media has been moved, no longer on the computer, or has been renamed. If you have not deleted or renamed the media you can use the “Fix broken media link” tool to repair the links. On the Media page go to Tools, Fix Broken media links.

The red X means the thumbnails were created for media files that were (at the time of creation) located at a particular folder path and of a particular filename, but now either they’ve changed names, been moved, or the storage device where they were is no longer attached or recognized by RootsMagic. If you have NOT changed media filenames, but DID move the files to other folder(s)… choose fix broken media links:
