Whem I try to merge from a USB back up in rm. 7 to an exixsting rm9 file it does not list the rm7 file even though the correct rmgc extension is listed

Importing to RM9
File > Create a New RootsMagic file
needs
.RMGC file (database file) from RM7… NOT the .RMGB file (compressed backup file)

Sorry I was being so dense

In RM9 select to “Restore from Backup”. Then select the RM7 backup (.rmgb) file. It will restore it by creating a RM9 database.
