Living person and birth date Private - Query

Is there a way to run a “query” that would identify and check the birth date box private for all living people. I have been using RM for the past year and converted over from Family Historian 7. In FH7 I could run a query like this and “flag” all living people as private - is this possible or are there other alternatives to achieve my objective other than manually going through each person.
Thanks!

That feature is not available in RM.

You can run a query in RM to identify all living people. The feature that’s missing in RM RM is to be able to set the Birth fact as private for all people matching the query.

The only alternative I can think of would be an SQLite query. Sometimes these sorts of things can be accomplished by exporting a GEDCOM, editing the GEDCOM with a powerful text editor, and then re-importing the GEDCOM. But I think this one would be hard to do with GEDCOM, plus I don’t like the GEDCOM export/import idea because there is potential for substantial data loss.

Thanks for the response- I know I should know this but how do you run the query listing just living people?

Thanks Again!

Thanks I just found that! You are the best!

Actually, I would probably make a group rather than doing an Advanced Search. But the “search” part of making a group would be exactly the same as the “search” part of the Advanced Search. The advantage of making a group is that there are lots of places in RM where a group can serve as a filter. For example, it can serve as a filter in People List View, and also in many RM reports.

Very cool I was thinking about that but was not sure. Very helpful. What I’m trying to achieve is when I print reports if you are living I don’t want their DOB to show.
