Is there a way to make a whole person private in Rootsmagic?
I know you can make a persons individual fields private, but I want the a whole person marked as private.
Not really but try marking them Living ?
Maybe, transfer their name/prefix/suffix components to an Alternate Name fact and replace them with the word(s) Private (or Wife or Child, etc.). Their “existence” would still remain (which is a part of potentially not being “fully” private) but most other info can be suppressed within the privacy features (Private facts, Private notes and Fact-type settings) that exclude such from reporting/exporting.
They are marked as living. When I export to a GED file and import it into the website software it displays the living.
