I wish there was a way just to login to Ancestry without needing to collect changes from Ancestry. It takes a long time to collect changes, and mostly I just need the login. That’s because I mostly right click a person and then jump to that person in ancestry.
Some users have suggested there are too many (Possibly Unnecessary ) API calls
Not sure if that an accurate or fair assessment but something to consider. (as I do not track API calls etc)

I have tried this several times today and it works for me BUT I also ran tree share before I did this- I also closed the database and Ancestry several times and it still worked-so I may have to try this again tomorrow-- anyway if your tree has been connected to Ancestry in the past, instead of logging into Ancestry and collecting the changes, just log into Ancestry on your browser then right click on a person and click on jump to person–as long as they are connected to Ancestry, it should work
As long as the person is connected to someone on Ancestry you can use “Jump to Ancestry” without being logged into TreeShare.
