My wife is showing up as “self” in RM8 and so my brothers and sister show up in relationship to her and as brother-in-law and sister-in-law in relationship to me. Her brothers and sisters show up as brothers and sisters in relationship to me. How do you fix that so the relationship shows up correctly?
Right click on the person you want to set as “Root Person” and select “Position” then select “Set Root Person”. Then use the Command Pallet to set relationship.

On the People page click on the Edit (pencil) icon and select “Set Relationship”. Make sure the correct person is selected to base the relationships on.
