How best to use places to record correct information

In RM 7 there was a facility, when typing a place, to ensure that you had the correct record. For example Liverpool, England was in Lancashire until Merseyside was created in 1974. There are also many other instances. Is there any way to use such a facility in RM8?

The feature to which You refer, CountyCheck Explorer, has not yet been implemented in RM8.

I could be wrong but I believe that County Check was not incorporated into RM8 as it is a Windows only add-on and doesn’t work on the Mac. It would therefore go against the dual platform aspirations of RM to put it in the Windows version only.
