Now the biggest problem, due to the screen and computer freezing, was I had to do a reboot.
All went well and I could then still use RM10, no corrupted file.
However now 2 days later after inputting more data. I began to realize I was entering people that I thought I had already in the database. I checked some people who I new should have been there, and there whole family had dissappeared.
In checking deeper, I found a 2 day old backup file that had +200 more familes in it than my current one. They were missing. Somehow the frozen screen and reboot had wiped out these families.
So - whats the best way of merging the 2 files ?? and not loosing anything.
Which then worries me about why RM10 did not pick up “Not enough memory resources”, prior to the system crashing.
Just on the surface that seems like a lot of people in 2 days.
Open your backup then do the Compare with your current database. You should be able to copy the missing people to current database.
I would also suggest that you backup daily before you start working.
