Is there any way to enable “cut and paste” for RootsMagic 9? Best I’ve been able to do so far is run a report, save it to text, and cut and paste from there.
What OS (operating system) are you using?
Cut what from where?
Paste to where?

As Tom asked – unclear where you mean.
You can not really cut/paste as text from most RM UI screen in a usable way/
There are many reports that can be saved as words etc that should work. You might need to find the ideal report an settings.
If you could tell us what info and desired look and use that might help someone who is familiar with the reports advise you on best choice

I’m on Windows 10. I’d like to be able to cut and paste from just about anywhere, like the various list displays (Pedigree, Descendants, …), report listings, that kind of thing. I like to clip pieces of things and put them in other documents and drawings that I use to do and document analyses. I can cut and paste on the edit screens, one fact at a time, but that’s not very helpful for what I would like to do. I could do some of it using MySQL queries, I suppose, but that’s also kind of like having to run and save a descendants report to text to be able to edit it and select the information I need.

Those display previews are generated images, so OCR would be the only way. Maybe Capture2Text → [YouTube video]
As @kbens0n says plus clips of screens as images without OCR.
