Criteria for RM10 DNA Matches?

Using RM10’s new DNA Matches feature (i.e. not using any prior version workarounds using associations), how can I create a search criteria (e.g. for a “DNA Matches” group rule) to find the people in my match list? I only see “DNA Test” as a (fact) choice, and that doesn’t match anyone.

There isn’t a search criteria to find people with DNA Matches. The request to search by DNA Matches has been reported to development I have been manually adding people to a group as I find them as a DNA Match.

If you are willing to explore Sqlite options that could work for you-- you could do a group etc based on a SQLITE query. @RichardOtter might have some options on his site.
The long time site had many options for other things https://sqlitetoolsforrootsmagic.com/

Thanks. What’s the process for sending feature requests and bug reports to developers?

Interesting. This may be in my future.

the Sqlite site has a forum - answering here would not be within the scope. I have not looked at the new DNA tables but it should be a matter of a simple join then create a group off the “list” of people. The Caveat would be not refreshable with RM – but a fairly quick run to update when needed.

There is a DNA Kinship List that you might try— it has the ability to show relationships with/ without DNA match–so I would uncheck without and run the report for yourself or whoever the person is you are interested in-- save it ( lots of options here) and then use that to create your DNA Matches group using Simple type group where you go in and select the people-- suggest you turn on the RIN numbers before running the DNA kinship list…

Yep, adopting the manual approach for now, thanks. Hopefully this will be improved in a future RM update/release.

Basically suggest it on here for a feature request-- on a possible bug/ problem-- you can post here as somebody MIGHT be able to help or have a work around-- and you can always contact support directly for a problem…

but make sure you can tell them exactly how to reproduce the error
