All tasks disappeared from my DB

RM 10.0.9.0, MacOS Sequoia 15.6 on M3 chip.

About a week ago I ran the DB tools compact database, rebuild indexes, integrity check, and remove phantom records, in that order. I seldom run these tools, since I’ve never had any DB issues. But since it had been quite a while it seemed like it was time.

Then yesterday I created two tasks, also something I don’t do that often. When I went to the Tasks tab, they were the only tasks there. I don’t use tasks a lot, but I had about 40-50.

I opened a copy of my .rmtree file from about a month ago, and all of the old tasks were there. My suspicion is that it was either the remove phantom records tool, or the two apparent crashes I reported in RootsMagic 10.0.9.0 shutting down unexpectedly .

I’ve done a lot of work since that copy, and it doesn’t seem like tasks can be dragged between DBs. Is there a way to get those tasks into my current DB without losing my recent work?

File>Import Data>Import Lists and pick the database that has the Tasks you want to import.

The Menu opens with Imports Lists. Choose what you want to import.

Thanks Jerry! As the British VP of engineering at two companies where I worked liked to say, that worked a treat.

It’s kinda hidden LOL

Yeah, it’s what folks in the UI/UX biz used to call “not discoverable”. :joy:
