I recently switched from 7 to 8. I opened the Source area to see what was in it. I haven’t been putting sources in, mainly because it was confusing to me. I have all of my documentation in separate folders by family on my computer. So where are all of these sources coming from that are in my program file? I don’t remember putting any of them in.
You have not said whether you use Ancestry TreeShare or transfer information from FamilySearch but either of these programs can add sources to your file.
Ok - that must be where they come from. I used to use Items from Ancestry and FamilySearch but I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose the documentation, so I started downloading the docs to my own personal files.
