Sharing Sources between trees

It is really such an elegant concept, my only excuse is that I am trying to do too much at one time - remind myself of past practices, learn new ones, deal with new “software” both RM & PH.

Today, was (again) trying to get grounded in sources, citations and how they can be shared.

  1. Can a source be “shared” by two otherwise unrelated trees for example in most cases US Census reference will be needed for pretty much any tree that includes people from the 100 years.
Yes? No? Damn-why didn’t we think of that sooner?

  2. Can sources, such as the bibliography demonstrated in the YouTube video on RM-9 Sources and Citations be accessed by Personal History - or does it need its own Data Base
Yes? No? Damn-why didn’t we think of that sooner?

Thank you for your patience, some day I might run out of questions.
Engineer from the other room standing behind me is now laughing at the concept.

Enjoy your evening

1 There are two types of “Trees”, in the same database and in separate databases. Sources in the same database are immediately available to any tree in the database. Sources in different databases can be moved from one database to another using the “File>Import Data>Import Lists” functionality.

2 They are separate applications and do not talk to each other.
