Shared facts / FAN Club / Network

I have a network of people, including several with the same name, that are interconnected thru deeds, wills and marriage records.

I was hoping that by using shared facts, I’d be able to show the connections in various reports. Ideally, I would like to print reports for each of the people in my ‘network’ and ask AI to create a diagram of the connections.

However, I’m encountering several issues and need suggestions on how to proceed.

  1. Most reports don’t print the RIN or FS ID. The individual summary report does print this informtion. Since my ‘network’ includes at least 3 men with the same name living in the same county at the same time, I need this additional information (RIN or FS ID) associated with their name.
  2. Shared facts connect the individuals in RM – BUT – those connections do not show in the reports.
  3. While I can connect the individuals with shared facts in RM, those shared facts are not available for uploading. For example, I have shared a Land-Sold fact with the purchaser. The fact will upload to Ancestry for the seller but because it is a shared fact, it will not upload for the purchaser.

SUGGESTIONS?

How abt using the reference # fact and put their RIN# as the reference #

Really should use Associations as that would probably get you want you want and they have a couple of great reports BUT it does NOT transfer to Ancestry— so what abt instead of sharing the fact, you COPY the fact-- you would have to adjust each copy after the first as all it does is change the Person’s name BUT think it would work if you reference back to the others in the fact

What you’re describing kinda sounds related to the pretty-new feature name Association:
