RootsMagic 11.2.0.0 with Ancestry new API

Was hoping the new API would allow me to download my tree from Ancestry.

I running on a MacBook Pro with macOS 26.4.1

However I’m running into the same issue as I did with RoostMagic 10.

The crux of the issue is the 1st two steps complete successfully, but the Media Download step stops at 2-3%. I have tried 2 different ways, 1st “Create a new RootsMagic File” & “Download from an Online Tree” then Ancestry.

2nd way I tried was “Create a new RootsMagic File” & “Empty File”. I open the new file then selected “Publish” & “Ancestry TreeShare”. Once in “TreeShare for Ancestry” I select “Download and Connect”, select the tree to download and select "Download Ancestry Tree"Both ways stop during “Downloading Media items” at about 2 - 4 %. I’ve waited several hours but no progress is shown.

“Close” doesn’t work. I have to click on the Red button to close the window.

Using Finder if I look at the Media folder for the tree is only shows ~194 files out of the 4462 media files in the tree. And in the “Media” section the media files not downloaded show broken links.

How can I see where its failing and why?

One thing if you were not aware – downloaded media goes to a different folder by design.

(The Folder will be same name as the name of the database)

Not sure if you correctly connected or disconnected your tree if that step was necessary

I tried to work on Ancestry yesterday (11th) and gave up in the end. The site was ridiculously slow and wouldn’t allow the addition of a small media file to a profile - just went into an ‘uploading’ death spiral. Thought I’d tree share after that to sync what I’d done to about 6 people and it took several minutes to populate the tree share dialogue box. Maybe their servers yesterday may have contributed to your failed download?
