What am I doing wrong ?
When I select Family Group Sheet , behind “Include” you can get a list of names.
When I select 2 (or more) of them followed by OK, it says behind “Include” “2 (or more) selected”.
BUT: When I use the “Select All” button in the names-list, all names are selected. After clicking OK it says behind “Include” the number that was there before, not the new (all) selection.
No way to Select All to be included in the FGS’s
Select all does not work, that is why the count is showing zero. It has been reported to development.
This has been reported . I reported again not long ago
you have to Select ALL then un select ONE family so it works.
Just an aside. The oval-shaped name-filtering search box in Select families window doesn’t work either.
It is working for me. The Families list search and when you see checkboxes to select, its an exact search. It won’t filter like the Couple list does.
When I enter myself as Benson,K -or- Benson, K (with space) it does not filter to my name (to be able to check the box), but scrolling the list shows me in that list as Benson, K with a checkbox in front.
Check if search is set to Father or Mother. It does appear to need the space after the comma.
Father is the default for me. It certainly doesn’t work like Index, where Benson,K filters to all Bensons with k in some location of Given name. And Benson, K does not filter like Index either. Benson, does filter to first Benson in the list, though no further.
Mother seems to work to work when SPACE follows comma. Other Fathers seem to work. Weirdly, it may only be me (or that letter combination)? I’m unsure why. Okay, I added another Kevin Benson family and it finds it. I’m going to have to experiment with dragging myself out and back in, when I get a chance later. I’m out of time from lunch break. I’ll follow-up when/if I figure anything out. Thanks for your quick help.
OK, I bought a little extra time and confirmed a drag’n’drop of my family out and back in . It finds the second ME. I surmise that the cause of my issue is that my being Record ID Number RIN #1 conflicts with the same “off-by-one” programming issue that prevents selecting ALL families. I’ll hold off until a fix for that appears and then revisit this. Have a great rest of the day!

I’ve isolated my filtering problem down to the content of the Prefix field in my own record which contained this graphic symbol ✰ as a visual way to more quickly spot my Name amongst a swath of text during some testing with reports, lists or charts. Not sure why Prefix affects the filtering, but I also tried
symbol, then Captain, Capt., Reverend, (some text) and some punctuation without parentheses …and filtering still fails. When Prefix is empty, filtering works. Suffix had a star symbol ☆, but doesn’t appear to come into play. Maybe some character codes “boundary” is being exceeded?
