In RM7 there was an option to “Use Standard Place Name” that was very handy when cleaning up place names. You could GeoCode and then Use Standard Place Name and it would replace whatever was in normal name. You can do the same in RM9 by GeoCoding, copying the standard name and pasting it over the “regular” name, so it’s a few extra clicks, but it would be nice to save some clicks when doing a lot of place cleanup.
I’m not suggesting the normal name always be replaced by the standard name during GeoCoding, just the the option to use the standard name be available with one click when desired.
