I just updated RM to 10.06, but when I go to quit RM it doesn’t ask to backup to exit, and yes I have settings to ask for backup, so the only option in my case is go to File and click on Backup before quitting RM, is that normal in 10.06…?

I am using Windows
If I click on the X (Top right hand corner) I am prompted to Backup (or to Skip Backup)
If I go File/Close I am not prompted. (This has always been the case)

But I’m using a MacBook Air 2014 (intel) no windows OS, I never have this before updating the 10 ver.

I’m a Windows user, so I can’t test on a Mac. But my understanding is that this is a problem that has already been reported on a Mac on RM version 10.0.6 and it is not a problem on Windows in RM version 10.0.6. I assume the problem on Mac’s will be fixed in a future update.
Yes, new issue with 10.0.6 that Cmd-Q (or RootsMagic /Quit from menu) does not prompt for backup or save settings changes. This has been raised in the facebook forum. Closing the RM window (red X in left corner) does prompt for most users, so you might try closing RM that way. However, a few users have reported that even closing the window doesn’t work. There’s also the issue that context sensitive help (F1) doesn’t work so I expect a hot fix fairly soon.
