In RootsMagic database… Anton (born 1677) has ONLY one Son (I erred in mentioning Barbara as a daughter), BUT FamilySearch is showing twelve more potential children. If your database already has them… You should link them as children. If they are not in your database, you would import them. Currently, FamilySearch cannot match those twelve because they are not shown currently as children of Anton (born 1677):
There is NO way to link all children in one operation from FamilySearch to RootsMagic from within that screen shown in the top screenshot… IF THAT IS YOUR INQUIRY. Why did you do a removal (unlinking the other children already in your database)?
The blue icons on the FamilySearch side show those children are already in your database. More than likely duplicate or different parents in the database. The children are probably all linked to that family group. Click on a child’s info (i) icon and copy their FamilySearch ID. Then use Advanced Search to find them in the database.
Apologies that our language difference may be a barrier.
First and foremost (as you already seem to understand) FamilySearch Central can ONLY recognize and act upon people WITH FSID.
Regarding duplicates WITHOUT FSID, it is ideal to have already merged them into duplicates WITH FSID, BUT that has absolutely no bearing on the operations of the FamilySearch screens you are sharing in this thread. What DOES matter is that duplicates WITH FSID become the people linked (by You) into their rightful place as children of their father. That way FamilySearch is able to recognize (by comparing their FSID) people on both sides of the screen as “matches” and that will remove the blue color from the icons on the right side for those people it already knows are in the database and are now linked as rightful children (by same FSID).
With regard to duplicates WITHOUT FSID… deletion is obviously easier than merging, but only the WITHOUT FSID people who are actual duplicates.
Copy the FamilySearch IDs that are blue and go to Search, Advanced Search, and search by the FamilySearch ID under Individual Attributes. What you are seeing is a different set of parents linked somewhere else in the database. You need to find them in RM and fix all those relationships links so everything lines up on the family group.
Likely not, or it would be reported by others. I wonder if the children are already in the Matches list? I believe this could also happen, with a database full of only FSID people, IF there are two fathers (mothers) same name but different FSID -OR- perhaps father has two wives same name but different FSID and children linked to wife that doesn’t match the FSID being compared or some similar circumstance. I believe the RootsMagic (left side) should be listing all children ALREADY ENTERED for a particular Couple (regardless of LDS side), but I’m not really a user of these features, so I could be mistaken.
I personally have no actual experience using these methods, only from reading the forum, help files and the logic of the user interface. Your actions moved the ball, it cannot hurt to do a backup, then continue down or up this surname tree and seek more recovery… knowing you can go back and restore to an earlier point in the process. Sorry, I can’t be more assuring, LOL!
Did you find the children elsewhere in the RM database and link them to the correct family or have you just been adding the same children from FamilySearch to them?
After unmatching some people, are you running Find Matches for each of those that became unmatched (to get them reassigned) and RM is not accepting from FamilySearch FamilyTree? Or AutoMatch? Only other thought would be, after unmatching, close RM and restart, go back into FamilySearch Central and commence Find Matches for those recently unmatched people..
I was confused by this difference in one of the screenshots of this last reply:
