See pictures for (Broken Link)
Hmmm. That has not been my experience. When I look at “Media” - I don’t see how to set the filter to group broken links together at either the top or bottom. After I run “Fix broken media links” some of the broken links will appear at the top – but not all. What am I missing?
You aren’t missing anything. There is no way to filter on media with broken links. The original post was tagged as a feature request. (I can’t see any attached images so am not sure whether the original post contained a mock-up or just chance.)
If you have too many media images to manually scroll through the list, the simplest way to find broken links is to save the Multimedia List report as an excel spreadsheet, then sort the Media column, and search for “NOT FOUND”.
Excellent tip and works on PDF files since mac Preview can search and extract text. Simply scrolling in icon or list view on mac is much more difficult since RM9 STILL has jerky scrolling on macs. The manual should include this tip/feature.
The only reason this tip was useful to me is that RM9 dropped the links to 5 images when importing a FTM gedcom that had no missing media.
