I use a similar caption prefix on media for a specific citation. Several tags use the same citation and media (such as Census records). If I search for this prefix for exiting media I get the hold group of media for the citation but can only select one at a time. I would like to select the whole group at once.
Not exactly sure of your objective(s). As for finding media/media caption it would depend on what give at time they were last modified or originally set up. There is not any ways to really give captions within the RM UI other than manual one at a time.
I am not trying to create captions. The existing media already has captions. I want to select existing media after searching for captions with a similar prefix (such as: Smith 1880 census). I want to select the existing media with the captions: John Smith 1880 Census KS, Mary Smith 1880 Census KS and Joseph Smith 1880 Census KS all at the same time with out going back for each one individually. With new media I can select multiple items from my file explorer list but I cannot do it from the existing media list.
Are you trying to add multiple existing media items to a fact or person?
so you want to ADD EXISTING media and be able to add multiple (like from check boxes ) at one time>?
