I have been using RM6, RM7 and now RM8 and I have found that the merge utilities to be very inaccurate.
Whenever I download family data, I first run the Auto Merge utility.
I then run the duplicate Merge utility, both the “spelled the same” and “sound alike” and fix the duplicates.
Once I have run these utilities, I then publish a “duplicate list” and fix the duplicates.
I then check the newly added relatives using the people list and sure enough, there are always several undetected duplicates.
Is there another more accurate way to check for duplicates?
