Marriage Fact for Married Couples

You could use Out of Wedlock instead of Adultery etc-- or just never married–

there are 3 good previous threads on here ( and maybe more if you have the time to search using the box above)

Relationship in RM9

How do you solve the following case? Mary gave birth to a child out of wedlock, which was acknowledged by Paul, but Mary later married Franz. How should this be indicated to clarify the relationships?

@dcslatter I have tons of W VA kids ( dating back to 1849) whose parents were not married– doesn’t matter if the father is UNKNOWN or if I list his name-- what I do in the Marriage Fact is put NEVER MARRIED in the PLACE FIELD-- that way it shows up on the family page–you can put it in the PLACE DETAILS and it will say in the fact sentence that they were married at NEVER MARRIED but it will NOT show up on the family page ( this sentence could be changed or a NOT MARRIED fact used if …

Never Married data

I am new to RM. Running RM8. What is best way to mark a person as “Never Married” so it is not confused with missing data?
