Hello, i know that this event not exist, but i can make a event it self but i keep saying that this are spouses, but this are there not, also two persons can be deside not to marry and Rootmagic give it incorrec the the are spouses, how can i do this that this will be correct

If you use the search button in this community, you will see it has been raised a number of times before
RM sometimes uses the term “spouse” on its screens when two people are linked as a couple, even if the two people are not married. However, this use of the term spouse is not intended to imply that the couple was married. Also, the term “spouse” does not appear on any reports or Web pages created by RM, even if the couple actually were married. In my experience, this practice is not uncommon in genealogy software. Even GEDCOM does it in the sense that the GEDCOM tag for a couple is FAMS - meaning Family - Spouses, and the FAMS tag appears in GEDCOM even if the couple was not married.
The way you can tell the difference on reports or Web pages created by RM is simply the presence or absence of a Marriage fact. If that is not sufficient to describe the situation with the couple, I can always add notes to further clarify and describe the situation.
For the most part, the only couples in my database who were not married are linked as couples because they were the biological parents of one or more children together. For the less common situations where a couple were partnered as if they were married except without actually being married, I have added a custom fact type to my RM database called Partners. I don’t use the Partners fact just because the couple were biological parents together. I only use the Partners fact for couples who choose to be life partners and live together without being married.

I’m sure you are right, but personally I find the Search facility, shall we say, limited. For example, if I was in Jan’s position, I wouldn’t have a clue what to put into the search bar for this particular problem without getting a whole host of irrelevant posts. What would you suggest Jan enters in this situation?
