There is a GEDCOM limitation on how many characters in the fact description. You will want to copy it from the description field and into the fact notes. The reason we don’t automatically put it there is because it would show a discrepancy between RM and FS on that fact.
I am not asking GEDCOM or TreeShare Also REFERRING to NOTE and NOT desc field for the fact
so for note fields Set MAX height and if exceeds make scroll-able. In websites this is basic HTML.
Not sure WHAT the ideal height… maybe something like 10 lines for the window of Life Summary. Its unnecessary to take up the much screen real estate on Life Summary for any note field .
The screenshot is of the Life Summary tab. The text shown comes from the place, place details and description field. The Life Sketch comes from FamilySearch with all the text inside the description field. It will often surpass the 250 character limitation in GEDCOM and drag n drop. Which means it can be lost when exporting. That is why I said to move all that text to the fact note. The answer isn’t to make the description field more accessible to view in the life summary. It means you should move it before you lose it.
Not all Life Sketches come from Family Search however apologies I was missing the were in DESC field AND NOT in the Note field of the recent ones. All my older ones are in NOTE field so I missed that. I have a fair amount of Life Sketches and they were in notes not desc (except for ones from past week.)
