Linking a Place to the Person in the Database

I just upgraded to RM 11. After 20+ years of using various genealogy programs (starting with PAF in the 90’s!), I really want to clean up my database. I have been working diligently using Place Clean. But there are some places I can’t clean. Somehow I have street addresses but no city, county or state. I really need to see the person they are tied to before I can fix the problem. Can someone tell me how to search for the person/people linked to a particular place?

Bingo! So simple! Thank you, kbens0n, for showing me where to find this!

Yes, I see I need both options for my cleanup project. Thanks so much, kevync1985!

This is a great report - question on what I’m doing possibly wrong. The header of the report is not showing up. - PC 11.1.3

Settings:

Header of Report

Title template

by what you entered only people have event in 1926 would be shown
(If you do a range it may take a while to generate)

you could use groups then a custom report that might be “better” – personally I find the Who Was there Report too slow to be useful (I have 32K people with 200K events so that might be part of it)

here is another result-- using only 1950

Thanks for the reply. What I’m looking for - people that may be on i.e. the 1926 Irish census. Therefore, I’m looking for anyone in Ireland in 1926. The report looks great and gives their estimated age in 1926 - very cool.

But my question was why didn’t the header show up in the report?

Yeah that looks like a bug not showing up

using advanced search / group and custom report (or book) might be a better option

I think by putting in your own Title, it isn’t using the default.

Take out (in Ireland, in 1926)

that was unclear to me – mine was default & it did not either.
I believe its picking up by the fields provided

The date and place are showing in the Reports Settings Title, but not on the report title when generated. Confirming this has been reported to development.

In the settings click on Title, remove [Place] and[Date], and manually enter the actual date and place name. It will show up in the report.
