LDS Ordinance Data

When using the FamilySearch Person Tool in RM10, there are times when I see LDS ordinances data listed on the Official FamilySearch Ordinances side of the screen, but a “Not On File” value on the Unofficial Ordinances on the RM side. Some records do show complete data on both sides, others only on the Official side.

It should show “Not in file” on the RM side if you haven’t added the ordinances yet.

Hello Renee,

Thank you for your reply. I would think if the completed ordinances, including dates, are showing up on the Official FS side, why wouldn’t RM automatically pull them into the RM Unofficial side instead of showing “Not In File?”

Also, why does “Reserved” in the Official FS side show us as “Not In File” on the Unofficial RM side. Wouldn’t it make sense to have Reserved appear in the RM data also?

How did you import the person or the file. If it was an import with an LDS account it would automatically include the ordinances. If the person was already in the RM database without ordinances then it won’t automatically add them. You have to manually select them and add to RM. Some ordinances don’t show up until after a merge has happened on FamilySearch. So the dates aren’t necessarily a clue as to when they appeared on the FS side.

Reserved is a status so it doesn’t import into RM. RM only has old TempleReady statuses that don’t include reserved, which I wouldn’t recommend using them.

Thank you again Renee. The data was imported from Legacy 10. I “created” a new RM database file using RM’s import from Legacy Family Tree v. 3-10.

Ordinances should have come over. Have you checked if they are there?

Hello but in past versions there was a tool matching FMSearch and your database telling you how many names xould bhave the ordiancnes updtated, this feature is not working any longer?

If you are referring to AutoMatch go to Publish, FamilySearch Central to run it. If the Ordinance Statuses are not appear on FamilySearch Central go to Settings, LDS, and check Enable LDS options. Go to Settings, General and check “Enable FamilySearch” to put the FamilySearch icon on the main views.

Hello thenk for answering but this was not my point.

In previuous versions of Rootsmagic it was possible to connect to famuly serach and analize how many names were updated in family search in terms of temple ordinances. There was a pie graph tellin you the %age and how many redocrds needd to be updtades. It was possible then launch and updating subroutine whic recorder every songle oridiances in those paeole who were not updated. May I undestand if it is still possibile?

It’s still there, just not a pie graph. It’s a progress bar now. Go to Settings, LDS and check “Enable LDS options” if you don’t see it.
