Index showing wrong year born

Has anyone else seen this?

Can you show screenshot of his Edit Person please? Might have a clue there.

Thanks - only thing I can guess at is Craig bday is 1960. I don’t see anything that would account for it.

You could try deleting the birth fact (not just the date), this should get rid of the 1960 in Index but check anyway, run the Tools, then add a New Birth fact.

Hope that fixes it. I had to do it in v7 for 1 of my people.

Thanks, that did the trick.

I probably would have try running all the data base tools before deleting – I have seen a few cases where the index did not update as expected.

Yes but this is a sure fire way to fix it. And it did. No guarantee Tools would have.

One can be assured that Rebuild Indexes would reflect the year of a valid date of the Birth event. Where it might not be what was wanted is if there were multiple Birth events and none or more than one is marked Primary. In this case, it was unnecessary to replace the Birth event and to repeat the media and citation tagging.

I am not certain you can actually mark more than one, can you?

Not by normal usage but the database design does not preclude it and there have been cases reported. Probably caused by a glitch that terminated processing before the incumbent primary was unmarked after the incoming was marked.

Yes that was my other thought – multiple events, Some with or with out primary etc
