This dialog is not displaying the ‘Select people’ dropdown box correctly. Not the end of the world I know, but it is an unnecessary irritation. I know I’m being pedantic but can you fix this please? Thank you.
might need more info or what version and if Mac or W11 and monitor settings to know that cause of that.
few things that come to mind that could be at least part to blame:
- High DPI Scaling Settings
- Windows Text Scaling (DPI)
- font Smoothing or Custom Font Sizes
What is your font scaling set at under Settings, Display?
Does grabbing the top border of the dialog and dragging upward (resizing) make that window a bit taller?
Font scaling is 125%
kbens0n, Yes it does.
Other dropdown boxes are fine, for example the box to choose a group in Colour Coding.
If taller doesn’t help fix it, then almost seems like the XY geometry is askew. What is the screen display resolution? 1080P or 720P or 1264 x 768 or what? Might need to do a Settings reset (Ctrl-Shft-U) and then re-enter your Program Settings…
EDIT: just saw your last reply, so my reset suggestion may not help.
I see on the development list font scaling has issues at 150% in various location on the Mac. Other than the drop list that window doesn’t look bad. I’m pretty sure it’s just a font scaling issue. If you go to 100% you’ll see the full text.
Thanks Renee, it is fine at 100% and starts to go awry at about 115% scaling - this is on Windows 11 by the way. 125% is more comfortable for my old eyes and I don’t want to be changing the scaling all the time. My point is that if other dropdowns work at 125% (such as in Search and Replace) there must surely be something not quite right with this one!

One other question – do you work with multi monitors and if so are you fonts and scalling the same for all ?
kevync1985, No I work on one monitor only. I have Windows 11 running on an Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop.

I have had a desktop for about 1 year now (display ports) but before then I almost always had an 2nd monitor connected to laptop via HMDI
was curious if monitor set up was issue
