How to show relationships in RM10 or RM11

I’m afraid this is a very elementary question.

When I’ve wanted to get a relationship report I’ve been going to “Publish” and then I’d choose “Relationship Chart.” It shows the relationship between the selected person and myself.

I just installed RM11, and I watched Bruce’s video introduction. From this video it seems that there’s another way to create relationship charts. Maybe it’s been there all along and I never knew about it. It sounds like he selects something in the Tools menu, but when I click on “Tools” the only choice for relationships is “Set Relationships.” Is that what Bruce is using? If so, how do I use that to show the relationship to me?

I’m interested in this because Bruce said that RM11 will now show all relationships that might exist, whereas with the relationship chart I’ve been using from “Publish” only one shows up.

From the Tools menu go to Calculators. There are three options there, the first being the Relationship Calculator.

For your questions regarding setting the relationship either to yourself or someone else in your database see the online help here: set relationships

If you are not sure where to find something use the Command Palette in the uppermost right corner. It looks like an artist’s paint palette. The results are hyperlinked and will bring you to the searched for function.
