I’m a pretty heavy SQLite user, but I wouldn’t do this one with SQLite. And despite being a heavy SQLite user, I still work very hard to use features in RM rather than SQLite queries whenever possible.

For this search, Find EveryWhere is probably the easiest. For example, search for 500 Main St You might also get a few non-Person items, but that still might be the easiest.

If you really wanted to search just in the note for the Person record, use an Advanced Search. The criterion would be something like Note (general) > contains > 500 Main St I would search for Main St rather than for Main Street because it would match either way the address is written. Your mileage might vary depending on exactly what it is you are looking for.

Yes find everywhere works well. But the format of the output is terrible and hard to read. Punctuation is a problem, or lack of it, it creates sentences that are hard to read.

I would have liked a soundex like search for say Main Street, and it looks for road, maine, mane and every permutation.

Like my surname, only 4 characters, but so many spellings Bale, Beale, ball, bail etc etc

I would like to search for say multiple words, like Smith and main.

Find Everywhere supports multiple words.

no - it only searches for a phrase ie “Smith main” not Smith & main

sorry i apologise, i will take that back it does.

Did not recognise the left hand form, that only appears after doing a search

I think its best to use the search from the left hand menu, as there is a minor bug in using the search box (top right).

If you enter a search phrase in top right search box and select search icon. It displays result or not.
Then clear the criteria and clear the results. You cannot use the top right search box by just selecting search icon, nothing happens. You have to select ‘X’ and re input the search word/phrase again.

The Find Everywhere search box at the top of the program will open on the Search page, Find Everywhere tab. That is where you can add additional search terms using AND/OR.
