Finding "Just Type Name" individuals

Is there a way to search for, or report on, individuals entered via “Just Type Name”?

I have some folks that are turning out to be significant enough they warrant an “official” entry and I want to make sure I link them in to every fact they’re associated with.

Report on ~ involves only individuals entered and assigned a database record id number. Search for ~ can work for names referenced in other parts of the overall data entries via Find everywhere, and Search.

When I use Search from the left-nav, it only returns persons who have a database record. Is there another way to Search? I may be relegated to doing it via SQL.

Find everywhere is the far right Search icon on that left-nav screen (with a hollow star within the magnifying glass icon). Or use the Find everywhere Search field white block (top-right).

We are but a few days away from the fifteenth (15 years!) anniversary of a SQLite script that was expected to be a short term workaround for the lack of support for these name-only sharers of events. Sadly, little if anything has been done to deliver on the potential of shared events since the feature was introduced in RM4 in 2009.

That’s what I was trying, but no joy.

Am I missing something?

Thanks very much @TomH!

My bad, I had forgotten that feature dialog. I have mostly avoided such elements that are not viewed as linked data, but rather as a data entry convenience for printing… almost like a function key combo to paste a value that’s used frequently. As TomH mentions, it’s incompatible with other software and services conventions.
