How do I get just a pedigree from FamilySearch?

I’m trying to import just my direct pedigree from FamilySearch (into a new database)
BUT if I set to get a heap of ancestors and 0 descendants, I get all my aunts, all my great aunts & uncles etc
Surely 0 descendants means that, not 1 generation at each level?

With the FamilySearch Import the Descendant option applies to the start person only. It doesn’t work like RM’s ancestors and descendants option where it climbs up and down the tree that many generations for each ancestor. With FamilySearch they automatically include the children of each ancestor. If you need to strip out the children make sure you are first importing into a blank database.
