GED upload to FamilySearch site frozen

After importing a GED file into FamilySearch site, it continually shows processing. It has been now several days, and nothing has changed, still shows processing. I have sent email to their support with as of yet no answer. The GED file I uploaded years ago, also only shows about 10% of the tree, the rest appears to be missing. Anyone else experiencing problems on their site or is it just me?

I bet your Gedcom file has been a flash drive for years. Flash drives are for temporary storage. They are reliable for 3 years and after that, no guarantees. Creating a tree from a Gedcom file is very quick. You can see the progress as it zips alone. So I would assume your file is corrupted.

How many people are in your gedcom?

You’ll want to address this issue with FamilySearch Support. There is a chat button in the upper right corner of their website. The icon has 2 monitors. You can also call them at 866-406-1830.
