Does anyone know what file format the places.dat file is? It appears to be a binary file (not text / delimited)

I have some Power Query checks I want to do based on historical placenames and time of events and there is not way to do this with the RM UI

There is a CountyCheck Report if you are trying to find errors.
I am aware of the report ---- that report takes a long time to generate and hundreds of pages long so not very practical - I could build a query but need to compare to the place.dat info.
if I know what database the .dat file was based off I could compare directly.

I’m not aware of any way to access the places.dat file outside of RM. It’s a library that we purchased to use with the program.
