Files can not be opened after new update 11.01

After updating to 11.01 I can no longer open any of my tree files. Get a message that says that RM can not open these types of files. So I have my trees, just no way to view them. Anyone else with that problem/any advice?

That is a very vague question. How, exactly, are you trying to open them? Hopefully not by double-clicking on the filename as that hasn’t worked since the version update to RM8. Are you using a Mac or Windows?

I’m using Mac and I’m opening the files through RM, under the recent files area. If the tree is not there I go to the file via Finder and open from there. I have never had an issue. Been using RM since v9. I Updated this am after it finished I tried to open the tree I was working on and it said error opening file, I hit ok, and it comes back file not opened and that’s it.

I have RM on a thumb drive that was not updated and I can’t open the files through that either. I have tried removing and reinstalling and still same problem.

What is the file extension you are trying to open? Backup (file) or actual database (file)?

Are you having a problem opening the older files even in RM9? Did you have recent Mac update?
