RM10 locks up on mac if automatch family search is clicked. Noticed yesterday too. This feature used to work.
automatch completed for me just now, M1 Pro running 14.7, 600 people in rm db.
The Automatch depends on many factors. Since of Database, demand on FamSearch servers. Your local internet speed. I would over night – if you have more than 10k people it could take longer than that. FamilSearch pauses API request as neededs

automatch worked this am. My file is small 400 people, 1GB internet, so perhaps a FS problem rather than RM for once. FTM never has sync problems.
that’s totally inaccurate in my experience.
Maybe not common for person to person share FamSearch to FTM but FTM in general is guaranteed to have sync failures in my experience and why I left FTM for RM (I do use FTM occasionally for certain things but not for Syncing to Ancestry)
Since Mackiev took over FTM syncing for me has been very dependable. RM uses a different and more manual updating approach which I find cumbersome.
If you want a full sync then you only have FTM – RM will not do that.
I used FTM for about 18 years before I switched to RM. A lot of the issues are outside Mackiev control. That said – I had 2-3 complete sync failures per year with them – I had to start my tree over each time as (Restore was not an option for those failures and I did sync in 24 hours normally when status green was available.
yes by design it works that way. What I do manual update to get hints then upload a new tree to Ancestry about 3 times per year. That method would not work for everyone.
